Thesis - Casting as a Pedagogical Practice in Educational Theatre Spaces

My MFA Thesis explored some of the myriad factors taken into account when casting students of any age in theatrical productions in school, university or educational thaetre programs at local theatre companies. The aim is to unearth student-centered directing practices in educational theatre. The thesis is also pending submission as a book.

Contributor -- American Theatre Magazine

In December 2022 I published a review of Oily Cart Company founder Tim Webb's illuminating new book on making sensory theatre.  The review and future contributions to American Theatre can be found here. The review was also published by TYA/USA.

Author - BYU Pandemic Stories

As part of a collection of BYU Writing Projects, I wrote a short story called "Safety Check" set in a COVID-19 era airport.  The exhibit has been taken down, but the text can be read here and a record of the exhibit is found here and here.

Playwright -- The Queen and the Magician

In 2016 I adapted the book "The King and the Magician" by Jorge Bucay into a one-act play for my directing capstone at BYU. The play is under submission to Pioneer Drama under a new title "The Queen and the Magician" but is waiting international rights release for publication. A filmed cutting is here
